![]() To use an external player on Kodi for Android you simply need to make a playercorefactory.xml file in the userdata folder. Normally, you only need to use an external player if something is wrong with your Android device or you are doing something special/custom. I've scanned through a log and can't find any evidence of it being loaded, but again I'm new to this and might be missing it. I placed the playercorefactory.xml in the userdata folder (C:UserUserappdataroamingkodiuserdata) I'm farily sure all the file names are correct, including captialization.Optimized playercorefactory.xml: Wrapper (HiMediaPlayer) and VideoPlayer (Kodi's player) still selectable in the 'Play using.' Menu VideoPlayer (Kodi's player) automatically plays DVDs, DVD files and ISOs Wrapper (HiMediaPlayer) automatically plays Bluray folders and ISOs (In Kodi select: Show Blu-ray menu) Pros: Faster and more responsive. ![]() If you arrived here from a search engine and cannot find the page, please use the wiki search instead (top right corner of page) The wiki is undergoing a major cleanup.
